These opaline Murano lamps with controlled bubbles were blown by Barbini in the 1950's. The glass is a vibrant light purple color with a hint of lilac. The original shipping label states the color as 'lilla op' - purple opaline.

The lamps are mounted on polished and sealed solid alabaster bases imported from Italy in the 1950's. They stand 31 1/4 inches tall to the socket top. The glass portion is 22 3/4 inches tall. The alabaster base is 6 1/2 inches square and 3 1/2 inches high. These lamps are massive! Click the images below for bigger versions:
